This Isn’t Therapy, But It Helps.
Why I Started Chill the Duck Out

After years of chasing deadlines, career milestones, and inner peace with the urgency of someone trying to fold a fitted sheet during a fire drill… I cracked.
Not in a dramatic, TikTok-spiral way. More like a slow unraveling held together by Diet Coke, Chick-fil-A Chocolate Chip Cookies, calendar invites, and sarcastic affirmations.
So I did the work: therapy, health and happiness coaching certifications, and a whole lot of “wait… this is actually how brains work?” moments.
Now I send one email a week. Not to fix your life, but to make you smile, breathe deeper, and remember you’re not broken - you’re just tired.
And maybe a little overstimulated.
Chill the Duck Out is intended to help you feel joy, lower your stress, and vibe responsibly.
The Official (and Unofficial) Values of Chill the Duck Out
1. Joy counts, even if it’s weird.
Unsolicited ducks, surprise LaCroix, and soft pants on a Wednesday? Still joy. Still valid.
2. B-minus effort is a love language.
You’re allowed to do less. You’re allowed to coast. Coasting still counts.
3. You are not a productivity machine.
But if you were, you’d still be allowed snack breaks and emotional spirals.
4. Feelings are not optional.
CTDO welcomes all emotional guests: the meltdown, the midweek joy, and the mysterious 3PM rage.
5. Science + sass > toxic positivity.
CTDO likes our facts well-cited and our affirmations slightly unhinged.
6. Rest is resistance.
Doing nothing is an act of rebellion. Especially if you light a candle first.
7. Ducks are optional. But heavily encouraged.
Because if you’re gonna spiral, you might as well do it with a mascot.
What to do next?
This is your weekly permission slip to be a little less “on,” a little more human, and a lot more joyful - for no reason at all.
The inbox is open. The ducks are floating. The chaos is managed.
Come on in.
